Classification: MnSCU Academic Professional 1 – Recruitment and Retention

Location: Itasca Community College

Employment Condition: Full-time Unlimited (1.0 FTE)

Responsibilities: The position works with enrollment management to assist in the admissions process and recruitment efforts for the campus, will implement/sustain a campus-wide student life program, and provide advising services to students on the Itasca Community College campus.

Minimum Qualifications:  Associate’s degree AND 2-3 years’ experience in recruitment, advising, student services, student life, or retention; OR Bachelor’s degree AND knowledge of recruitment, advising, student services or retention.  Human relations skills and ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds.  Considerable knowledge of support services and educational backgrounds. Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing, correspond with prospective as well as enrolled students, and disseminate information to employees and the community.  Ability to set goals and objectives, develop and implement programs to meet stated goals, and evaluate activities according to standards and measures set forth by administration.  Ability to collect data, and maintain records in order to assure program goals and budgets are documented.

Preferred Qualifications:  Experience in advising, student activities and/or student life with broad spectrum of students, including outdoor activities and/or support services at a Minnesota State College or University.  Experience in MinnState ISRS or similar computer system.
