Members might feel it is appropriate to mark her leaving with a donation, to be presented to her at a later date. If you wish to contribute, please give your donation to rev Tim or one of the stewards, or put it in a clearly marked envelope in the collection plate. Thank you. Church Stewards

*Creative Spirit Encouraged by October’s successful event, we are doing an afternoon of worship workshops again! This time the theme is Pentecost. We meet at Yeadon on 12th April from 2pm, feeding into the Circuit service in the evening. Flyers/booking forms with full details should be available in all churches. The booking deadline is 5th April. The line-up of workshops is exciting with puppetry, Godly play, singing/liturgy writing, art /craft; there’s something for everyone. Come and enjoy being creative with friends from around the Circuit. Share your gifts or develop some new skills and join in worship with a first-hand feel. You will also be helping to make a Worship Resource pack for the Circuit. We hope to see you there! Circuit Stewards

If you think you might be interested in taking up this role, please see the leaflet in the Fellowship Area, or have a word with Viv Pitts, who is already a Circuit Steward. Church Stewards

Burley Luncheon Group The first Burley Luncheon Group for older adults was run very successfully on the 30th March. Thank you to the volunteers for making it so successful. It also generated just under fifty pounds for church funds. The next one is planned for the first of June 2015 and after that it is hoped that they can run on a monthly basis on the first Monday of each month. I am hoping that two teams of four volunteers can be formed – three people for the kitchen and one to help with waitressing, front of house etc. It was also lovely to have a piano player there as we were able to have a hymn sing-along, which appeared to be enjoyed by all. The commitment would be 2-3 hours every two months and if possible, to provide a pudding. Could you please e-mail Catherine [email protected] or leave her a note on the church table if you are willing to help. Men are welcome to volunteer as well as women! Catherine Henderson P.S. please note that I am on leave next week until the 13th April.

*Bank Holiday Refreshments Bramhope Methodist Church will be serving homemade cakes, scones, biscuits, fresh sandwiches, teas and coffees at Norwood Chapel in the beautiful Washburn Valley on Easter Monday, 6th April, from 10.00am until 4.00pm. Be a light, O Lord, to our eyes and music to our ears. Be sweetness to our taste and contentment to our hearts. Be sunshine to our days and food at our table. Be rest in our night and sufficiency in our hour of need. Be liberty in our life and everlasting glory at our death; through our Saviour, Jesus Christ. Amen. John Cosin (1594 – 1672)

Pray for the Sick and Housebound. Please remember in your prayers those who grieve over the loss of a loved one. Please pray for peace in all the places in the world where there is war and strife. Please remember in your prayers all those you know who are in special need at the moment. Please pray for all members of the church family who are sick at home or in hospital. Pray for those in residential homes; the housebound and the lonely.
