Dear Fazail

Long time no hear! Have you (3.1 fergotten) about the good times we had last year?

Here in KwaZulu-Natal, things have been rather (3.2 quite). As usual, my family and I spent (3.3 Xristmas) at home - it seems like we never go away! It makes me feel quite (3.4 jelous) when we get back to school and the other (3.5 gays) all tell me about the (3.6 luvly) holidays we had. It would be great if we could go and visit our (3.7 reletives), but both my mother and father's families live here! It's not fair! I was lucky, though, because my friend, Thandi - you remember, I told you about her - was also at home, and we got to spend a lot of time together.

It was also quite a sad time because my other friend, Mandla, was preparing to go and study in Cape Town. He was so (3.8 exited) the day the letter of (3.9 acceptence) from the technical college arrived that he could hardly speak. He'd been sure that he wouldn't get in, and then the letter arrived!

I tried hard to be happy and (3.10 cheerfull) about it. I mean, I could hardly rain on his parade. But all I could think were in good times we'd had at school together, and that we wouldn't have any more of these. I have to admit that I was jealous tooo. I would be great to be able to go to an exciting city, like Cape Town, to study. But it isn't going to happen to me...
