Lab Overview How do companies ensure that employees follow policies and procedures after they are hired? If you were an employer, what steps would you take to ensure consistency within your staff with respect to legal compliance, sharing the company’s vision, or other values? Typically, most companies incorporate a new hire training program and other training for updating employee skills and work processes. Successful companies know that training is part of investing in the organization.

In this lab, you will explore the value of training as an organizational investment. As future Human Resource professionals, your understanding of best practices in performing your role in the training and development process will be of great importance. This lab encourages you to reflect upon how you will apply this week’s reading and lessons to your future career.
