Directions: Today, you will need to get creative. It’s time to put all of the information that you have been gathering into your finished product. You may want to go back and read the GOAL, ROLE, AUDIENCE, SITUATION, PRODUCT PERFORMANCE, AND STANDARDS! Once you have done this, use the following CHECKLIST to help you organize your work.

***You may submit a totally electronic copy, a totally handwritten copy, or a copy that includes a combination of the two.

Title Page (2 points)  Name of your Biome  Your Name  A picture that well defines your Biome- Get creative here! Think about a clever way that illustrates the characteristics that defines your biome.

Page One- Best time of year to visit (8 points)  Describe what types of clothes to pack (be as descriptive as possible, all the way down to the shoes!)  When should you plan to visit and explain why? What will the climate be like when you arrive, what is it like during the months you avoided visiting? When would you leave?  Illustration of what’s in your suitcase.

Page Two- Map it out (10 points)  Include a map of where your biome is located around the world. Color the areas where your biome is located. o Locate on your map the specific location you plan on visiting with a dotted line showing the path the plane will fly to get there from where you are located now.

Page Three- At first Glance! (Abiotic Factors) (20 points)  Describe what you see when you arrive or as you are flying over (the terrain, the soil, water, elevation, temperature, precipitation). BE DESCRIPTIVE! Draw a picture illustrating the area that you described. o Terrain- The land, Soil, Water availability, Elevation, Picture

Page Four- It’s Alive! (15 points)  Describe at least 5 types of plants you see and be descriptive when speaking about them. What characteristics do the specific plants you listed have that allow them to live in this biome? o 5 plants with specific adaptations to the chosen biome o Pictures that explain the adaptations Page Five- It’s Alive (15 points)  Describe at least 5 types animals you see and be descriptive when speaking about them.
