FBLA LEADERSHIP BREAKFAST SCRAPBOOK COMPETITION GUIDELINES FOR MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL LEVELS November 6, 2008

This event recognizes FBLA chapters that engage in the preservation of the association history through the production of an annual scrapbook of chapter activities.

CONTENT

The content of the scrapbook must be of a professional and tasteful nature emphasizing the activities of the chapter (community service, social activities, business connections, competition involvement, etc.) Deductions will be made for missing items. Schools should choose a theme for their scrapbook and indicate that theme on the first page along with the school name and year (2007-2008).

ELIGIBILITY

One entry per chapter will be accepted prior to the Miami-Dade Leadership Breakfast.

REGULATIONS

1. The design must be submitted to Iliana Marin, Educational Specialist, on or before October 24, 2008, at 4:30 p.m.

2. The activities identified must be from the 2007-2008 school year (previous year) only.

3. The scrapbook should contain no more than 20 pages (40 pages if back to back).

4. The school name and school year must be identified on the first page of the scrapbook, not the cover. Your theme should also be on the first page.

5. All scrapbooks should be no larger than the standard size (12” by 14”). Cover decorations are permitted. No glitter may be used.

6. Any event guidelines not adhered to will result in the disqualification of the entry.

JUDGING

A panel of judges will judge all entries. All decisions of the judges are final.

AWARDS Certificates of participation will be given to all chapters submitting entries. Five (5) places will be awarded in the high school division and five (5) places in the middle school division at the Leadership Breakfast.
