Program Description: The Regional English Language Office, in partnership with Voxy, presents the new “Teaching American English Online Course.” The 12-week, self-paced course for teachers focuses on English for teaching and teaching methodology, and will include 3 hours of individual tutoring per participant as well as unlimited group tutoring. The program is funded by the U.S. Department of State and administered by FHI 360.

All American English courses use the latest in instructional technology to provide participants with an interactive distance-learning experience, and are designed to familiarize participating teachers with current methods and issues in the field of English as a Foreign Language.

Selection Criteria

Must: • Be a Tunisian citizen • Be a resident of Tunisia • Be an English teacher • meet all technical requirements

Preference is given to candidates who: • Have an intermediate – high intermediate level of English • Have never benefited from a USG program before • Have five years or less experience teaching English • Teach in public schools

Note: Alternates will replace those who do not participate actively in the first week.
