PREPARATION FOR WORSHIP Our Great Savior arr. by Jolene Boyd Please take this time to quietly meditate on the following Scripture passage as you prepare your heart to worship the Lord. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. 2 Corinthians 5:17 (ESV)
*CALL TO WORSHIP Psalm 130:1-7 (ESV) As God’s Word calls us to worship, let’s shout these words to one another recognizing that our worship is a response to God’s gracious call. Leader: Out of the depths I cry to you, O LORD! People: O Lord, hear my voice! Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my pleas for mercy! Leader: If you, O LORD, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand? People: But with you there is forgiveness, that you may be feared. I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in his word I hope; my soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen for the morning. Leader: O Israel, hope in the LORD! ALL: For with the LORD there is steadfast love, and with him is plentiful redemption.

PRAYER OF CONFESSION After the public confession below, you are encouraged to confess your sins silently to God. God of life, we come to you as a people hungry for good news. We have been so dead to miracles that we have missed the world’s rebirth. We have preoccupied ourselves with pleasures and have overlooked the joy you offer us. We have been so concerned with making a living that we have missed the life you set among us. Forgive us, gracious God. Open our eyes and our hearts to receive your gift; open our lips and hands to share it with all humanity in the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen!
COMFORT AND ASSURANCE OF THE GOSPEL 1 John 2:1,2 (ESV) My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have one who speaks to the Father in our defense--Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins.
*GREETING OF PEACE Psalm 4:8 (ESV) Please take this opportunity to greet those around you, offering them the right hand of fellowship and the peace which is only found in Christ. In peace I will lie down and sleep; for you alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety.
CONGREGATIONAL PRAYER Ephesians 6:18 (ESV) [Pray] at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints. *For those who are able, please stand. WORSHIPING THE LORD WITH HIS TITHES AND OUR OFFERINGS Please take a moment to sign our “Fellowship Pad” and pass it along to those worshiping with you. Thank you! The offering is a vital part of our response to God and God’s Word. It helps us connect our adoration for God with our life of discipleship. Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; bring an offering and come into his courts. Psalm 96:8 (ESV)

THE LORD’S SUPPER
The Lord’s Supper is a physical action, mandated by Jesus, through which God acts to nourish, sustain, comfort, challenge, teach, and assure us. The celebration of the Lord’s Supper nourishes our faith and stirs our imaginations to perceive the work of God and the contours of the gospel more clearly.
WORDS OF INSTITUTION Luke 22:15-20 (ESV)
