PROJECT - B. E. FINAL YEAR

Design and Assembly of a “FUELMETER”

The concept was to develop a device capable of curtailing the practice of scamming at Gas stations.

The Fuelmeter was designed and assembled by a team of three members. It was then installed in a vehicle to measure the quantity of fuel received from the fuel dispenser and the reading displayed was noted by the owner of the vehicle.

The device was assembled using locally procured components and material which was lightweight and accurate. The project was a success and was approved by a team of invigilators from the college.

Methods used in Drilling of Crude Oil

The seminar was focused on layout of an Oil well, the different methods adopted in drilling of Crude oil, various types of pumps and other equipment used by the drilling companies worldwide.

TRAINING: December 2008

A three week intensive hands-on training at AL MASOOD AUTOMOBILES – Abu Dhabi, dealers of NISSAN, INFINITI and RENAULT vehicles in the following areas:

 Overseeing the NISSAN express services (NES) bay.  Preventive maintenance section (PMS) bay.  Engine overhaul and Power train sections for total engine overhaul  Fault finding in a vehicle using latest technology deployed in the workshop  Regular maintenance and servicing of vehicles.

COMPUTER / SOFTWARE SKILLS:

 AutoCAD, ProE, Ansys, CAD/CAM and C-Programming.  MS Office (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES AND HOBBIES:

 Attended a training course in Public speaking organised by TOASTMASTERS INTERNATIONAL - Abu Dhabi Chapter  Participated in athletic events and won medals at school level  Took part in Musical shows at the college campus and other venues to raise funds for victims affected by floods and earthquake.  An accomplished and experienced drummer.  Genius Stamp collector.
