Dear Parents,

We are excited to have hit the ground running for another exciting and enriching school year. We invite all of you to participate in the education of your children as much as possible. At Harding, our goal is to create a caring, nurturing environment where your children are able to learn and master challenging content and grow academically, behaviorally, and socially.

Parent – Teacher Conferences

Parent-Teacher conferences will be held on November 28th and November 29th. There is no school for students on those dates. Conferences will be held between 12:00-8:00 pm on 11/28 and 8:00 am – 4:00 pm on 11/29. Students will return from Thanksgiving break on Thursday, November 30th.

In the coming days, you will receive information from your child’s teacher to schedule a conference with them. They will schedule around your work schedule, as well as planning with other teachers to schedule all your children (if you have more than one at Harding) in the same time block so you do not need to come multiple times.

Inclement Weather

As we begin to head into the winter months, please be aware of any potential delays and/or closings of Harding. We follow the schedule of “Lebanon School District.” Any references to school districts, such as “Lebanon Catholic”, “Northern Lebanon”, or “Cornwall Lebanon” do not apply to our students.

The best places to look for closings and/or delays are the Harding Facebook page, @HardingCedars on Twitter (see above), and on the radio at 1270 AM, 100.1 FM, 1510 AM, 89.5 FM, 99.7 FM, 580 AM, 97.3 FM or TV on channel 27 (ABC), channel 8 (NBC), channel 15 and 21 (CBS), and channel 43 (FOX).

Late Pickups

Please be mindful that school is dismissed daily at 3:30 pm. If you know you will not be there at that time, please make arrangements with friends or family to pick up your child as the office closes at 4:00 pm.

It is also of the utmost importance that we have updated information, so if your phone number has changed, please send in the new number to the office or your child’s teacher. If we are unable to contact anyone if a child is not picked up, it is our protocol to contact the Lebanon City Police Department and make a referral to Children and Youth Services.

$$$ Making Programs for our School

Box Tops for Education – Clip BoxTops from hundreds of your favorite General Mills products and send them to school. Twice a year, General Mills will send our school a check, reimbursing us 10 cents for each BoxTop. Every class can benefit, so please participate as able!
