Final Essay Notes

Final Essay Notes: (must include introduction, body paragraphs and conclusion)

This is not a 5 paragraph essay. It is much more extensive.

You must incorporate notes from “Oh, the Places You’ll Go” to illustrate an understanding of its theme and how it relates to the prompt.

You must incorporate lessons learned through this year’s literature (themes and characters).

Some ideas to include and expand on greatly:

Part A-Directions/Paths (maybe a paragraph for each area) Careers/education Family Friendships Recreation/travel Character (what kind of person do you want to be) Community Service/Volunteerism Etc.

Part B-How do you plan to get there? Educational goals Financial means Making good choices/how? Setting realistic goals-What are they? Learning from past mistakes Etc.

Part C-Obstacles you may face Financial Not working to potential Grades Poor choices-Are you your own worst enemy? Individual handicaps Unforeseen Tragedies Etc.

Part D-How do you plan to overcome those obstacles? Self-discipline Work Ethic Plan ahead Focus on making good choices Doing the right thing rather than what feels good at the time (avoid instant gratification) Etc.
