PARTS OF SPEECH: ADJECTIVES Forming Comparative and Superlative Adjectives

Write the comparative and superlative forms of these regular and irregular adjectives adjectives. The first one is done for you.

Remember: • You cannot use more and –er with the same adjective. Incorrect: Bill is more taller than I am. Correct: Bill is taller than I am. • Always use than after a comparative adjective: Bill is taller than his brother. • Don’t confuse than with then, which means at a later time. • Follow spelling rules when adding endings.
