What is expected of you prior to coming to clinical the first day. Please take the time to review the 2 orientation websites, one is for Meditech and the other is for Advocate Bromenn, you must and complete the required post tests and print off verification sign off sheet at the end and bring to first clinical

The homework consists of reading a training document that will familiarize them with our system and the basic functions of Meditech. Your clinical instructor Tammy meet you there at 7:20 am, please wear your uniform. Please plan to bring your lunch or eat in the cafeteria, plan to stay until 3pm.

After touring the OB unit, you will observe a newborn assessment, and you will have an opportunity to try to get a set of vitals on a newborn! If possible, try to view the Newborn Assessment and Gestational Assessment DVD’s #1883 Parts 1 & 2 BEFORE your clinical orientation day. The Newborn Assessment will mean so much more to you if you have seen these DVD’s ahead of time.

(NOTE your Meditech training will have already occurred with your Adult 2 clinical group on 8/26, you will have completed the orientation module for meditech with your Adult 2 group).
