Graham Cracker Architecture

Graham Cracker Architecture

Dear Parents,

On December 16th Math/Language Arts will be doing a joint project of constructing a Graham Cracker House. In order to make this work we need donations from you. Please sign up for what your child can bring in by December 14th. We will post this list on Mrs. Scamporrino’s web pages and let you know what is still needed. We will be creating these houses with all 60+ students. What we will need is:

Graham Crackers—need 10 boxes total Cream of Tartar—need 1 small container Powdered Sugar—need 12 boxes/bags Eggs—need 4 dozen 2 packs Ziploc sandwich bags Chinet paper platter (Oval) or Square Dinner plates—need 7 packs of 12/15

Decoration Materials: Roofing: square cereals work well (chex, quaker oat squares) Chimneys, Door, Windows: small candy bars rectangular cookies (must be light weight) Fences: pretzels, tootsie rolls and cylindrical candy work well

Decorations: m & m’s, gumdrops gummi bears, teddy grahams, marshmallows or mini marshmallows etc—whatever else you can think of? NO sprinkles or colored sugar, they are too messy for classroom use.

It will be very helpful if on the 16th of December your child has a bag to carry their creation home in.

Thank you, Mrs. Scamporrino and Mrs. Donovan
