Men /Women Soccer Coach-Butch Lauffer
Butch Lauffer is in his 14th season as Head Coach with the men’s program and 9th season with the women’s program. His overall record is 266-105-23. He led the Buffaloes to their 1st Div II men’s playoffs in 1997. Under his coaching the women’s team have won either LSC regular season or Tournament Titles six times in the past eight years, taking both in 2001. Coach Lauffer has many accomplishments including, 1 NCAA Midwest Region Coach of the Year Honor, 2 LSC Men’s Coach of the Year Honors, and 2 LSC Women’s Coach of the Year Honors. He holds several foreign/domestic-coaching licenses, an English Football Association Prepatory Coaching license, USSF “A” license, and is recognized by the Irish Football Assoc. with Grade 1 Coach license. Lauffer served on the US Olympic training committee and has taught “A”, “B”, “C” coaches through coaches’ clinics. He earned his BS degree and Master’s degree from Texas Christian University.
