To Register for Mywritinglab You Will Need

STUDENT REGISTRATION & LOGIN MyWritingLab

Before You Begin To register for MyWritingLab you will need:

 An access code card that can be purchased at your bookstore, or read below for instructions on purchasing access to the program directly online.  A MyWritingLab “Course ID”. Click on #2 “Find Your Course ID” on this website to locate your instructor’s Course ID.

Registration 1. Enter http://www.pearsoncustom.com/ca/pasadena_mywritinglab/ in your Web Browser. 2. if you are a first time user AND have you purchased an access code at the bookstore, click on #4 Purchased access code at Bookstore? Click here to register. 3. If you are buying access with a credit card, click on #5 Purchasing Access Directly online? Click here to purchase and register and the on-screen instructions will guide you through the purchase process. 4. Read all information in the License Agreement and Privacy Policy and Click accept. 5. On the Access Information Screen, if you don’t already have a Pearson account select No. If you do, select yes and boxes will appear for you to enter your desired login name and password. You may want to use your email address as your login name. 6. Type in your 6 word student access code using the tab key to move from one box to the next. Type letters in either all uppercase or all lowercase. Click Next after you have entered your code. 7. On the Account Information page, enter your first and last name and email address. 8. In the School Location section, select United States from the School Country drop-down menu (NOTE - United States appears at the top of this list). Enter your school zip code (91106), and then select your school, Pasadena City College from the drop-down list. 9. Select a security question and answer to ensure the privacy of your account. Click Next.

If your login/password selection was successful, you will receive a Confirmation Screen with your information (this information will also be emailed to you). Logging In and Joining Your Instructor’s Course

1. Enter http://www.pearsoncustom.com/ca/pasadena_mywritinglab into your Web Browser. 2. Click on #6 – “Login For Returning Users” 3. Enter the Login Name and Password you just created and click “Log In.” 4. The first time you log-in, you will be asked to join your instructor’s course. 5. On the first page, select “Join Your Instructor’s Course” from the menu. 6. Enter your Instructor’s MyWritingLab Course ID into the search field. 7. Select and “join” your instructor’s course. You are now enrolled in MyWritingLab!
