SUMMARY Ganesh Raj Acharya holds MSc Degree in Forest and Nature Conservation with specialization in Policy and Management. Similarly he also holds MSc Degree in Natural Resources Management and BSc Degree in Forestry. Currently, he is working as Natural Resource Management Consultant in MEH Consultants (P.) Ltd as full time staff. As a visiting faculty, he is also associated to Kathmandu Forestry College, Tribhuvan University and Environmental Journalism School, Pokhara University where he develops research protocol and monitors student. Prior to this, he worked as team leader/project manager for UNDP GEF SGP funded Churia Biodiversity Conservation Project in Ilam with responsibility of participatory biodiversity conservation/Ecological restoration and baseline work at field level. He also worked with US Peace Corps in Nepal and conducted training to US natural resource graduates/volunteers. His most recent involvements were on different projects including UNDP/GEF-SGP (climate change), FINNIDA (solid waste management), District Forestry Sector Management Plan among others. He has more than nine years of working experiences in development and education sector within the country as well as in the Netherlands.

2005- 2007 MSc Forest and Nature Conservation, Wageningen University, the Netherlands (Two thesis with 36 and 24 ECTS) Subjects: Environmental economics, Natural Resource Economics, Forest Economics, International Environmental Policy etc.
