Position Overview Reporting to the Marketing and Communications Manager, the Publications and Marketing Officer will manage the production of both digital and hard copy marketing materials from initial concept through pre-press to final publication. The Publications and Marketing Officer has delivery responsibilities of Batchelor Institute's marketing and communications strategy ensuring a flexible and responsive approach to the organisation's business needs and environment. The Publications and Marketing Officer supports the delivery of strategic and tactical marketing and communications on behalf of the Executive Director, Innovation and Business Development and Batchelor Institute. Detailed Statement of Duties 1. Manage design and production of marketing and communications material, ensuring quality and timeliness of production and dissemination in accordance with protocols, schedules and budgets.

2. Manage and administer all aspects of web operations.

3. Co-ordinate and maintain marketing material registry and resources.

4. Work within the marketing and communications budget and ensure maximum leverage for funds invested in promotion and marketing of Batchelor Institute's programs.

5. Support the responsive and flexible marketing and communication objectives for Batchelor Institute that takes into account the organisation's mission, business needs, stakeholders and political environment along side of the Institute’s Strategic Marketing Plan.

6. Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders including internal and external clients, partners, funding providers and other stakeholders.

7. Work collaboratively and effectively as a member of a high-performing team, engage positively with senior management and all internal staff and contribute to Batchelor Institute's continued development and continuous improvement.

8. Undertake any other duties necessary to this position as delegated by your line manger. Essential selection criteria 1. Demonstrated expertise in graphic design and a sound knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud software.

2. Demonstrated experience managing and administrating public-facing Internet web content management systems, including expertise in appropriate software/programming languages HTML5, Javascript and CSS3.

3. Manage external and internal quotes for print publications. Ensure a high level of accuracy and quality of presentation in all publications. Significant experience in delivering marketing and communications strategies to ensure strong brand awareness and the achievement of business goals. 4. Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders including internal and external clients, partners, funding providers and other stakeholders.

5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a track-record in building and maintaining collaborative relationships with a wide range of internal and external clients and stakeholders in an environment requiring cultural sensitivity.

6. Personal qualities such as energy, initiative, commitment to teamwork and collaboration, focus on outcomes and respect for others.

Desirable selection competencies: 1. Tertiary qualifications or industry experience in graphic design and/or marketing.
