7th Kup: Yellow Belt Testing to Green Stripe

Time at yellow belt: 3 to 4 months, depending on attendance and effort during class

Forms: Kibon, Kicho, Kyuki Il Chang

Basics in addition to those from previous tests: front stance with back fist front stance to front elbow strike back stance with knife hand strike horse stance to inside forearm strike EXTRA CREDIT: Fighting stance to hook kick Standing front fall, back fall and side falls One step sparring: 10-15 one-steps using the basics already learned going to both sides (no take downs or joint manipulations) Self defense: grabbing both wrists, hair grab (front and back), two hands on the throat (front and back)

Belt meanings: yellow belt = represents the purposive actions of the new student similar to the warmth of the late winter sun which melts the snow and allows the seed to germinate

green belt = indicates growth and development of the student as it depicts the spring when growth and activity abound 8/06
