 Dianne thanked everyone for coming along to the meeting and for the big turnout. The more people we can get along to the meetings the more people can help out with planning events.  Dianne confirmed that herself and Debbie would be joint co-ordinator/chair and that Lisa & Dave Livingstone would be joint treasurers.  As no-one volunteered for the Secretary role, this would be rotated each month and a volunteer organised at the end of each meeting for the next month.  Tracy Robertson has volunteered for the next meeting on 28th October.  A PFG folder with all the minutes will be held in the cupboard. Cheese and Wine  Cheese and wine evening will be held on 17th November at Stoneyhill Community Centre  Ticket prices will be £6 for 2 glasses of wine Additional glasses of wine will be £1  Nicola to apply to East Lothian Council for Occasional Licence. Nicola  Karen Thorburn has offered to print tickets. No need to laminate tickets this year. Karen  Lisa Livingtstone to look into getting a sponsor for the evening e.g. Co-op or Tesco Lisa  Linda Sinclair to co-ordinate stalls for the evening. Nicola to send list of last years stalls to Linda Linda.  Nancy to arrange nail stall like last years. Nancy  Julie Bonthron to do reindeer food stall.  Evie would like to do a craft/jewellery stall.  Stallholders to pay £10 for stall to help with cost of hall hire. If they wish they can offer a raffle prize also. Jillian/Karen/  Jillian Elgin Karen Thorburn and Dianne to do the shopping for the cheese and wine. Dianne  It was decided to hire glasses from Tesco instead of buying plastic glasses. Lisa/Nicola to Lisa/Nic organise. Dianne  Dianne to collect French sticks from Tesco on day of cheese and wine.  Debbie’s husband has produced a poster to advertise the event. Dianne to arrange to get posters laminated.  Evie going to put up posters around school and on school gates. Evie  Sharlene is going to provide all the silver plates / bread baskets for the night. Sharlene  Request for people to bring along cheese knives on the night. All  Need to check tealights and runners and napkins and paper plates at next meeting to see if All we need to buy more. Sharlene  Sharlene is going to provide a playlist of music for the night.  Members of PFG to bring along fairy lights to decorate the hall.  Stallholders will need to bring along their own lighting and extension leads.  Lisa and Dave have volunteered to be at the door at the start of the evening to take tickets.  Raffle prizes – rather than write out to companies to request raffle prize donations members of the PFG are asked to if they know any contacts at any companies to ask them if they would like to donate a prize.  Everyone should let Dianne know if they receive raffle prize donations.  Potential raffle prizes:  Prize from Marriot Hotel – Lynne to arrange  Gym passes – Debbie  EH15 restaurant vouchers – Lynne and Tracy  Edinburgh Hotel vouchers – Karen  Raffle tickets will be sold at the door and round the table in the evening.  Shopping list additions -  Need 2 boxes x 24 bud and miller  More crisps and pate  Lisa/Sharlene to co-ordinate ticket collections at school. Lisa/Sharlene  We need to try and promote the event to nursery mums  Evie to see about advertising cheese and wine in school newsletter. Sharlene  Sharlene going to produce a flyer for the event.  Volunteers for helping set up: Dave, Lisa, Lynne, Nicola F, Nicola Campbell, Sharon Wright, Karen, Denise, Margaret, Fiona, Gavin, Sarah Ferguson, Dianne  Volunteers to help clean up: - Linda, June, Julie, Nancy, Dave, Lisa, Lynne, Nicola, Dianne, Jillian  Wine/stall rota – June, Julie, Nancy, Sarah, Sarah Ferguson, Lisa, Dave, Lynne, Nicola, Nicola C, Sharon Wright, Jillian, Dianne PFG Coffee Mornings  It was decided to hold PFG coffee mornings in the GP room. These will take place on the last Friday of every month at 11.30am. Nursery Project  A parent from the nursery has put in a comprehensive proposal to request funding for a plastic bottle greenhouse.  This would consist of a wooden frame and require about 1500 2litre bottles.  Overall cost would be approx £700  There were concerns about where this would be located and resources involved in cutting and cleaning the bottles.  Evie is going to check with Cockenzie and Sandersons Wynd School as similar projects were completed there.

PFG Newsletter  Nancy has kindly agreed to continue producing the PFG newsletter. We are going to try and co-ordinate issuing the PFG newsletter along with the school newsletter. Christmas Cards  Profit so far from the Christmas cards is £231.  The cards have all been collated and Sarah is going to send them off to the company for production.  Cards should be distributed by the beginning of December Christmas Hampers  Sarah organising hampers this year.  Denise is going to get boxes from Costco  Comms to go out the week after the October break.

AOB  Easyfundraising.org.uk – we need to remind parents to use this when ordering goods via the internet. % of money goes to the school  Evie to ask if we could promote this in the school newsletter

NEXT PARENT & FRIENDS GROUP MEETING WILL BE HELD ON 26th October 2011, 7pm-8.45pm in the GP room
