Battery – check level and security of 2 conections. Fuel tank has sufficient contents to 3 complete task. Check mirrors – Clean, not damaged and 4 adjusted correctly. Windscreen, windows & lights – Clean & 5 Servicable. No visible damage to body of vehicle i.e. 6 dents, scratches etc
7 Tyres – correct pressure & condition.
Spare wheel serviceable and with correct 8 pressure.
9 First Aid kit present (if issued).
Fire Extinguisher - correct pressure and 10 pins fitted (if fitted). Tool Kit, Jack and wheel brace – present, 11 clean and servicable

12 Seat belt - servicable
Start the Engine & Check the following:
13 Instrument gauges – operating correctly
Head lights, side lights, brake lights, turn 14 signals, emergency signals, rotating beacons (if applicable) operational.
15 Horn operation.
Windrscreen wipers and washers 16 operational
At low speed check brakes operate 17 correctly.
At low speed check steering operates 18 correctly.
At the end of use
Replenish all fluids including fuel as 19 necessary
Report any defects that have occurred 20 during use
