Section 27-292.6(1) of the Building Code perm its waivers of provisions of Local Law 58/87, under certain circum stances. Section 27-292.6(1) (a) states that waivers can be granted if compliance would "create an undue econom ic burden."

The Mayor's Office for People with Disabilities reviews all waiver requests, prior to any determination by the Comm issioner of the NYC Department of Buildings (DO B), as to whether or not such waiver(s) should be granted, and advises the Commissioner of DOB accordingly.

For consideration of a waiver based on "undue economic burden," the following (among other possible docum ents] be subm itted to the Mayor's Office for People with Disabilities:

C. C O ST E S T IMATE FOR 1TEM(S) FOR WHI C H W A I VER IS SOU G HT  Prepared by the architect, the contractor, a professional estim ator, or supplier (if appropriate).

D. FI N A NC I A L R E VIEW  Prepared by a Certified Public Accountant, setting forth a full accounting of all debits and assets of the applicant. Documentation subm itted should include information, such as:

• Tax Returns (Income and Property Taxes) • Existing Bank Accounts, • Stocks, Bonds, • Real Estate, O ther Holdings, • All Income Sources, • All Inventory, • Salaries of Emp loyees, • Loans, including Mortgages, etc. • Accounts Payable and Receivable.
