Please note the following: 1. KSPF funds one-time projects or acquisitions; if the project consists of multiple phases, this should be clearly disclosed in your request. 2. Please disclose if your funds are on-hand or must be raised as a part of a challenge grant to your members or the public. 3. KSPF does not fund ongoing payroll or operating expenses. 4. KSPF grants must always be the “last-in” money, e.g. funds from all matching sources should be in-hand prior to requesting our check. 5. Each park will only be awarded one grant per twelve-month period. This is a rolling timeframe which depends on when the previous grant was awarded. 6. From the time of approval notification, the park awarded has six months to submit the necessary paperwork to request funding. 7. All grant applicants must provide three price quotes (if applicable) to ensure the lowest price has been secured for the project. 8. Grant requests of $500 or under do not require matching funds. 9. The Education and Outreach Committee looks favorably on those grant applications which provide matching funds. 10. Grant recipients will be required to provide a follow up cover letter explaining how the money received was used. This will be due about six months after funding is received.
