Landowner Cache Equipment Checkout Proceedure

THE NATURE CONSERVANCY LANDOWNER CACHE EQUIPMENT CHECKOUT PROCEEDURE

Two sets of equipment are available at The Nature Conservancy’s Office located at 3303 US Highway 59 North, Victoria, TX 77905. The cost is $25 per day of possession, with a minimum payment of $25. Checking out equipment will require one-half (1/2) of the amount due based on the estimated number of days in possession upon receipt of the burn equipment.

Each set of burn equipment includes the following:

 50 Gallon Slip on pump unit (1) suitable for a pickup or UTV  25 Gallon ATV Spray Rigs (2), Gator Clip Battery Connectors (2)  Honda 4 HP Portable Pump (1), Draft Hose (1), Filler Hose (1)  Drip Torches (4)  5 Gallon Drip Torch Fuel Cans (2)  Motorola Two Way Radios (4)  Kestrel Weather Meter (1)  Road Hazard Signs (2), Sign Stands (2)  Flappers (3)  Council Rake (1)  Miscellaneous Items: AA Batteries, Road Sign Containers, Storage Boxes, Kestrel Instructions, Cigarette Lighter 12 Volt Power Adapter (1), Fire Resistant “Nomex” Jumpsuits, Pants and Shirts (please wash clothing before returning)

Please call ahead of time (361-572-8711) to make arrangements for checking out the equipment.

Landowners checking out equipment are required to sign a Release of Liability, and provide a driver’s license and proof of auto insurance (or if applicable, commercial or other liability insurance).
