Additional event logging has been added to the QLA4XXX Windows miniport driver for trouble shooting customer problems in the field. The event information is viewed using the Windows Event Viewer. Events logged by the QLA4XXXX driver are listed with the Source field set to "ql4XXX" and the Event field set to "11". Double click on the event entry to view the event details, and then set the data format to "Words". The detailed event code is displayed at offset 34 (hex). 8002 RISC system error (8002) asynchronous event was detected. The firmware detected an internal unrecoverable error. It is generated when the firmware encounters a condition that it is unable to resolve.

8003 RISC request transfer error (8003) asynchronous event was detected. The firmware detected an error while trying to transfer data from the SCSI request queue.

8004 RISC response transfer error (8004) asynchronous event was detected. The firmware was unable to successfully transfer an IOCB to the SCSI completion queue in host memory.

F001 An invalid handle was included in a SCSI completion queue entry.

F002 An invalid entry was found in the SCSI completion queue.

F005 An unknown status was returned from a mailbox command for mailbox.

F006 Mailbox command timeout error. The firmware failed to respond to a mailbox command.

F00E Error mapping PCI memory/IO mapped registers. Contact Qlogic support.

F010 Error detected while starting RISC firmware code. Contact Qlogic.

F084 PortFatalStatusError interrupt detected. The Hardware error, hardware encountered a parity error or a fatal replace adapter. error on the PCI bus and is halting operation. The hardware must be reset to clear the error condition.
