Job Description 1. JOB INFORMATION JOB TITLE: Traffic Controller BAND: 5 DEPARTMENT: Transport REPORTS TO: Senior Traffic Controller LOCATION: Anwick / Ashbourne

2. JOB PURPOSE To be responsible for the efficiency and professionalism of the distribution operation, maintaining the best service at the lowest cost by blending the use of external hauliers/contractors with own fleet. To operate within the parameters set by both company policies and transport legislation. To control the Moy Park drivers and external service providers to ensure provision of high customer service levels. To adequately control supplies of crates and pallets throughout the company. To be involved with other projects as necessary i.e. Health and Safety, HACCP, Training etc

4. DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES  To gain a full understanding of poultry in MP.  Ensure Moy Park and agency driver labour in department is employed efficiently and economically. Confirm driver holiday bookings accordingly.  To plan and supervise: distribution of both Moy Park and third party product & the collection of live birds in an economic and efficient manner, throughout the UK.  Operate a job rota system for Moy Park drivers ensuring fairness of workload and average hours worked.  Ensure distribution vehicles are operating within company policy and legal requirements and maintained in a clean condition.  Assist the compilation of daily KPI’s & distribution weekly accounts.  To ensure that drivers complete records fully and their duties meet all legal requirements.  Ensure all returnables and pallet stock levels are maintained, through timely collections/deliveries.  To monitor and take corrective measures to ensure the best vehicle/trailer utilisation and pallet fill possible.  To cost vehicle journeys both Moy Park and contractors against pre-set schedules and calculations.  Control the cost efficient distribution of: exports inter-site movements and retail orders  Out of hours “on call” duties.  To supply drivers wage summary information.  Compile list of weekly ‘special’ vehicles.  Escalation of non-conformances & issues in a timely manner to line manager Date written: 10/09/15 Authorised Version Reference: AN/T/TC Last Updated: 09/05/16 Page 1 of 3 Issue #: 2

5. MEASURABLE OUTPUTS  Drivers average hours & WTD to be kept with in agreed format through regular monitoring  Average pallet fill of above 20 pallets utilisation  Keep empty leg mileages to below a minimum standard set by manager  Achieve retailer specific DOT performance  Maintain OTIF delivery performances whenever production performance allows  Ensure best cost & fit utilisation is always maintained  Reduce driver EU driving hours infringements through education process using the infringements & databases available  Factories should not run out of retailer empty baskets by using cost effective timely collections on return legs of journeys  At all times monitor case to pallet configuration to ensure planning loads as efficiently as is possible  Recharge other departments when they have added non budgeted costs into operation  Maintain service levels required by individual Moy sites at lowest cost possible
