SEVENTEENTH DISTRICT--ROYAL ARCH MASONS INSPECTION INTRODUCTION PROTOCOL
GENERAL POLICIES:
(Note: Introductions may be made by any competent Companion the High Priest designates.)
1) Do not ask your guests to introduce themselves! Select and prepare your own officer in advance who will do a good job. Cards, if used properly, can aid in a smooth and efficient introduction.
2) Introduce distinguished guests who hold multiple offices or Honors no more than twice at the alter.
3) Please avoid going down on the level to greet at inspections.
4) Please do not ask for announcements during introductions, except for the District President or his representative.
5) Do not ask the District Deputy, inspecting officer or any other dignitary to close your Chapter.
6) Please allow no one to speak after the inspecting officer except to close the Chapter.
ORDER OF INTRODUCTIONS
A. Candidate At the Alter Applause B. Your Chapter Past High Priests At the Alter Applause C. 50 year and over members At the Alter Applause D. High Priests or representative from Other Chapters [They should give their count] In Place Applause E. Presiding officers of other bodies In Place Applause F. 17th District Officers, Past D.E.O.’ s At the Alter Applause G. District Education Officer (Alone) At the Alter Applause [If KYCH Grand Honors] H. Past and present Grand Officers of all bodies, KYCH, 33rd D.S.A., MSA’s etc. At the Alter Grand Honors I. Most Excellent Grand High Priest, if present Alone at the Alter Grand Honors, then escorted to the East J. Inspecting Officer Grand Honors, then escorted to the East K. Grand Master Alone at AlterGrand Honors in the East
Note: 33rd. Masons are not entitled to be called “Illustrious” except in Scottish Rite. Companions are to be introduced by their Chapter title held at that moment. Example “Excellent Companion John Doe, Past Most Illustrious Grand Master of Royal and Select Masons in Ohio”.
