Greetings from Spain, A lot has been going on since we last wrote to you. We are grateful for your prayers on our behalf. We are confident that God wants to do some great things here. We mentioned in our last prayer letter that we had begun a Bible study with Julio and Maria. We have been able to continue that study every Thursday. They have a lot of questions. On January 29, another Bible study was started with Geovanny, Yomar and their two children and we are quite encouraged with their response. Keith Hudak is teaching a Bible study called “The Story of Hope.” It is a very clear presentation of the Gospel. We asked you to pray for the Sweetheart Banquet that was planned for our new target area. The banquet was held on February 12 in Torres de la Alameda. We were able to take two couples from Campo Real with us. The Hudaks were able to bring two couples from their area and two couples came from the church in Coslada to encourage us. All went well as we played games, had a great meal and Roy shared a short message from the Word about the greatest love of all which is God’s love for us. You can see more photos if you visit our website. We are planning more activities in the future. In April, we hope to have another Easter Egg Hunt. This is the group that attended the Sweetheart Banquet Many of you have been praying for Isabel. We have some great news to share with you! Because she had sent an e-mail that she shouldn’t have sent, she was waiting to hear if she would have to go to jail. God has intervened on her behalf and she will not have to go to jail after all. The only down side is that now she must pay a fine instead. The fine is over $3,000. We know that God will provide because He always has in the past. If you would like to help Isabel, you can send a (non- tax-deductible) gift to our account. Just be sure to mark it “102-Isabel”. We will make sure that the money gets to her. Continue to pray for her daughter, Sarah. She faces many challenges as she moves between her two parents.
Recently Coslada has also had some outreach activities. On February 5, a group gathered for Family Night. Several unsaved friends and family members attended. We played board games but there was also lots of good food and Glenn Clodgo shared from the Word. We are thankful for the opportunities that we have to be a part of the ministry in Coslada. They have been a great encouragement to us as we get more involved in the new ministry area. Thank you for your prayers and interest in Spain. So much is going on and 2011 promises to be a great year. It’s exciting to see what God is accomplishing.
In His Service,
Roy & Nancy Jones
