WOW Sept/Oct Just a friendly reminder:. For any of our away from home trips, I would like to remind you how important it is that your luggage is labelled. We do try very hard to streamline transferring your luggage from coach to drop off buses, or in to accommodation.
We are always preparing for future events. This often includes purchasing tickets very early on for events that may not be until six to nine months later. As a coordinator this makes my job extremely difficult, as we have to ask you as our client for deposits so early on. It is important to book and pay these deposits otherwise I will assume you are not interested. These events are announced with very little or no notice so we can’t get the information to you in time to purchase, book and organise a trip. If there are any events that are not on this brochure that you may be interested in please let us know and we will follow the information up. As you know, in the event you cannot make the trip we always endeavour to on sell your ticket. Generally we are very successful but we cannot guarantee it. If you wish to discuss any aspect of this please ring Meg at the Hastings office of WBL Bus & Coach 870-8740.

Day 6 - Thursday 30th (1 night) (Breakfast, Dinner, Bed) After breakfast this morning we travel south and call in to visit The Waterworks. A tourist attraction (formerly known as Waiau Waterworks) showcasing the best of quirky Kiwi ingenuity - we know there is nothing else like this in New Zealand nor the world. The Waterworks, was developed by Chris Oglivie on land that once was his father’s farm. Work commenced in 1989 by the Oglivie family, planting gardens from scratch, collecting cuttings from plants that locals had successfully grown over the years. An old miner’s cottage was brought all the way from Thames for the entrance building. Chris got busy making water powered gadgets and in November 1993 Waiau Waterworks opened to the public. As the gardens matured they provided protection for the naturally growing native foliage and these plants are again prevalent as you walk around the Waterworks. There is a café on site to grab a cuppa if you wish. Wander around this very inventive water park. We continue our journey along the west side of the Peninsula, stopping in Thames for a late lunch and a chance to view the Butterfly Park before continuing on to Cambridge for our last evening. We are staying at The Riverside and dinner is in their restaurant this evening. Day 7 - Friday 31st After our breakfast we board the coach for a return journey to Hawke’s Bay

When purchased over 25 years ago the property was very similar to the lost garden of Heligan. Truckloads of fallen trees, Gorse, Blackberry, Broom, Ivy, Old Man's Beard and Honeysuckle were removed, not forgetting the plantation of Pine trees dropped earlier and then the rabbits! Many 1000's of hours of machine and hand labour have gone into the resurrection of these grounds and hundreds of shrubs and trees have been planted. We will arrive in Masterton in time to get some lunch (own choice) before we travel through to Carterton. We are so lucky to be one of the first visitors to this grandeur estate.
