Introduction : Jagatsinghpur District was created on dt. 01.04.1993 as a result of division of erstwhile Cuttack district into four separate districts. This district covers area of Jagatsinghpur sub-division along with two Tahasils split and separated from its parents district is under administrative control of central division. District Magistrate and collector is the head of district Administration. He is assisted by two Addl. district Magistrate posted at district Hqr Jagasinghpur and Paradeep for managing day to day administration and maintaining law and order. 2. Location : Jagatsinghpur district lies between 86o 3’ to 86ᴼ45’ East longitude and between 19o 58’ to 20o23’ North latitude.
