INDIAN FARMERS FERTILISER COOPERATIVE LTD PARADEEP UNIT PREQUALIFICATION OF VENDORS FOR SUPPLY OF CARBON BLACK IFFCO, a true cooperative, of the farmers, by the farmers and for the farmers is the largest producer and marketer of Nitrogenous, Phosphatic and Potassic Fertilsers in India. Presently, there is a requirement of 1000 MT (approx.) of Carbon Black per year for IFFCO for the production of black coloured fertilizer. Applications are invited for prequalification of vendors who are capable of supplying Carbon Black. Prequalification Criteria: Interested parties shall submit their application along with their offer for supply of a sample of 3-5 MT of the material on FOR Site, IFFCO Paradeep basis along with the following documents to G.M(Materials), Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited, Dist : Jagatsinghpur, Paradeep - 754142 Odisha State, duly super scribed “Supply of Carbon Black” within 21 days of this publication. The details/ documents required to be furnished along with the application are (i) experience & past performance of similar supply (submit copy of purchase orders executed). (ii) capability with respect to supply of material as per IFFCO’s requirement (iii) financial position with copies of balance sheets for last 03 years. (iv) Bank Solvency Certificate for minimum of Rs. 3 Crores. (v) PAN / GSTIN Regn. etc. Carbon Black Specifications: 1. The specifications shall be as below. S. No. Parameter Specifications 1 Ash Less than 5% 2 Moisture Less than 10 % 3 Bulk Density 0.18 gm/cc max. 2. The Carbon Black should be a quality product in powder form with free flow at room/ambient temperature. Inspection: Parties, whose applications are accepted shall be contacted for supply of the sample of 3- 5 MT for trial use in plant. The sample supplied by parties will be analyzed at IFFCO’s Laboratory. Analysis carried out at IFFCO Lab will be final and binding. However, the supplier may depute his representative to carry out joint sampling and analysis at IFFCO plant site. If the supplier does not depute his representative to witness the analysis, no dispute in analysis will be entertained and analysis by IFFCO Lab will be final. Trial Order: After the inspection, a trial run is carried out with the acceptable samples. A trial order shall be placed on parties for supply of these accepted samples of 3-5 MT. Material Acceptance/ Rejection Criteria: The material supplied should confirm the above mentioned specifications. However, the following conditions shall also apply on the supplies not meeting the above specifications: 1. Ash content should be 5.0 % max. For material containing ash in the range of 5 % - 10.0 %, payment shall be released after prorate reduction in the rate of carbon black of extra ash. However, material shall be rejected if ash content is above 10.0 % and the supplier has to take back the whole material at his own risk and cost. 2. Moisture content should be 10.0 % max. For material containing moisture in the range of 10 % - 20.0 %, payment shall be released after prorate reduction in the rate of carbon black of extra moisture. However, material shall be rejected if the moisture content is above 20.0% and the supplier has to take back the whole material at his own risk and cost. 3. If both Ash and Moisture content fall in the range 5.0 % - 10.0 % and 10.0 - 20.0% respectively, payment shall be released after prorate reduction (equal to sum of both %Ash & %Moisture) in the rate of carbon black of extra ash & moisture. IFFCO reserves the right to accept or reject any application without assigning any reason. RFQs in future for procurement of Carbon Black shall be issued to the pre- qualified parties only.
