Here at Lauriston we believe that this year’s dra will live up to the reputa on that ACKNOWLEDGEMENT this farm is building. Some of you may know that Lauriston topped the averages at the 2013 Inglis Melbourne Premier Sale, surpassing the overall sale average by The team at Lauriston Thoroughbred Farm almost $100,000. This was no mean feat and is tes mony to the great work our acknowledge the fantas c support from the team at team do in preparing our young horses. The fact that our dra at that sale was adjudged the best presented is even more tes mony to that. So take a bow Paul, Kathy, Warren, Tracey, Alicia, Barry and Barbara for achieving such a great result. This is 2014 and all of us at Lauriston is focussed on achieving another great result when we off er 24 horses at four sales. All the young horses are qualifi ed and/or eligible for the lucra ve incen ve schemes. Among our dra this year are horses by quality stallions, Bianconi, Beneteau, Charge Forward, Danzero, Domesday, Encosta de Lago, Exceed and Excel, Flying Spur, Foreplay, Magnus, More Than Ready, Mossman, Not A Single Doubt, Reset, Snitzel, Soldier’s Tale, Starcra , Star Witness, Street Cry, Street Sense, Teofi lo, Turff ontein and Von Costa de Hero. Our band of mares is con nually being upgraded and a great deal of study goes into choosing the best qualifi ed stallion for each mare ma ng. Two were for 3-year-old fillies for trainer Wesley Ward: Lady Aurelia, whose second 5-furlong Royal Ascot win came in the G1 King=s Stand on Tuesday; followed by Wednesday=s last-race winner Con Te Partiro in the Listed Sandringham H. at a mile.
