Species Comments Arthroleptella ngongoniensis are more threatened than forested areas. Sites seem to be managed on forestry side more than grasslands areas. Threats are more likely to be unmanaged such as climate change and other natural factors out of signifiant control by man. Chytrid is a possible factor that cannot be ruled out but the likelyhood seems less than other aquatic species. Analog could be used. Anhydrophryne is new .

Microbatrachella capensis Desperately needs ED score. Population site are being managed with addition of scrapes in town populations. Education value is considered because of its fast and hardy reprocuctivity and population management in captivity is seemingly easy. Considered as a display species because it is Diurnal.Cold be considered for education value in endemic areas. Arthroleptis francei Distribution is wider than prviously described as is been found in Mazambicque. Threats seem to be managed in protected areas thus far. Nothophryne broadleyi GAA threats are said to be bogus. Qualified by statement that says that no agriculture can take place ontop of large granite domes. Area is known for eco-tourism opportunities. Species seems to be threatened by its lack of distribution through out . Bufo nyikae Seems to be well protected in its habitat with a well preserved area. New genus not mentioned as yet.

Hyperolius horstockii Could be promoted as a species for a "wild" exhibit in captive environments by creating opportunities for inhabitation. Arthroleptella landdrosia Threats would be around the Betty's Bay region which is currently in a bio-reserve. Arthroleptella lightfooti Recommended for Conservation Research. Poyntonia paludicola No ED Score and needs to be prioritised in this regard. Noted as having unusual tadpoles with long tails. The Ex-Situ programme could assist with gaps in reproduction and physiology. Strongylopus wageri A rocky mountain stream specialist. Occuring widely in Drakensberg conservation area. Icon of South African Herpetology and accidently named after Vincent Wager. Heleophryne natalensis In conservation reseach already.
