HR Council chair Cedie Lopez Vargas (MLV) is proud of the long way the HR Council has come, being one of the earliest corporate initiatives instituted by Lopez Group chairman emeri- tus Oscar M. Lopez (OML) in 1999. OML was then chairman and chief executive officer of both Lopez Holdings Corpora- tion and First Philippine Hold- ings Corporation. The Lopez Group leader- ship has since changed with the times, and so has the HR Council.
