Diversity Candidate Resources Diversity Candidate Resources Technique: Niche Job Boards There are many general diversity websites. Some have withstood the test of time, while others have come and gone. Note that most of the major job boards have a diversity channel, but there are some career websites dedicated to the posting of jobs and resumes exclusively in the diversity space. One of the major downsides to sourcing on niche diversity resume databases is that a significantly small portion of the population cares to identify themselves as being part of a protected class. What this means is that not all Hispanics choose to call out the fact that they are Hispanic by joining a diversity job board. Therefore you will find many more Hispanics in the mainstream job boards than in the diversity only sites. The key to searching the diversity specialty sites is to focus on ones that have a large amount of traffic, or larger databases. Here is an abridged listing of the diversity sites that are most frequently visited: General Diversity • DiversitySearch: (diversitysearch.com) • Equal Opportunity Publications: (eop.com) • IMdiversity.com): (imdiversity.com) • Monster Diversity & Inclusion: (http://monster.diversity.com) • Hire Diversity: (hirediversity.com) • INROADS- (inroads.org) African-American • Affirmative Action Registed (aar-eeo.com) • Black Career Women: (bcw.org) • Black Collegian Online: (black-collegian.com) • blackenterprise.com: (blackenterprise.com) • Blackworld Career Center: (blackworld.com/careers.htm) • Minority Executive Search: (minorityexecsearch.com) • African American Jobs (africanamericanjobs.org) Diversity Candidate Resources Women • Advancing Women- (advancingwomen.com) • Black Career Women- (bcw.org) • Catalyst- (catalystwomen.org) • Equal Opportunity Journal- (eop.com) • Field of Dreams: Women in Business- (fodreams.com) • Job Searching Resources for Women- http://jobsearch.about.com/careers/jobsearch • National Foundation for Women Business Owners- (nawbo.org) • Office of Women's Business Ownership- (sba.gov/womeninbusiness/welcome.html) • Voices of Women- (voiceofwomen.com) • WITI: Women in Technology International- (witi.org/center) • Woman Owned- (womanowned.com) • WomansTown.com- (womanstown.com) • Women's Financial Network (WFN)- (wfn.com) • Women's Wire- (womenswire.com) • Working Mother— (workingmother.com) • Working Women Working Together- (aflcio.org/women) Alternative Lifestyles (Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender) • Work Life -
