The ceremony was the culmination of over 4 years of effort to bring activities for our youth to Glenns Ferry. Traci Stewart, the Chairman of the Fall Fest Committee, approached Karen Hall, with the idea of pooling funds to build a skate park. After 2 years of fundraising, the land was purchased from the Warburton family with the agreement that the park would be named in honor of their family. Kathy Muir, guided the effort to get a grant to help build the park. Jes- sie Jarvis was hired to write the grant. A committee was put together consisting of Wilder Jones, Scott Smith, Clay Anderson, Charlie Winter and Nate Jones. Town Meetings were held to get input from neighbors and kids interested in the skate park. A basketball half court and a play- ground were added to better serve all youth. The grant was completed in November 2016.
