Lectionary needs revisions As chairman of the U.S. Bishops’ Committee on Liturgy, I am pleased to tell you that we are making significant progress on a revision of the Lectionary, the Scriptures that we use at Mass on Sundays and during the week. The Lectionary is seriously flawed because it is a strictly literal and does not resonate well with our people.
