Xlth International Numismatic Congress Brussels, September 8-12, 1991 The organizing committee is happy to announce that the Xlth International Congress will be meeting from September 8-11, 1991 in Brussels. It will be held at the Palace of Congress in the center of the city and in proximity to the historical quarter and the important museums. The opening meeting and the various sections are scheduled from Monday through Thursday, while the possibility for various excursions will be offered on Friday, 12th. The committee hopes that this congress will provide the opportunity to exchange information about most recent scholarly contributions in all areas of numismatics and illustrate the relation to neighboring disciplines like archaeology and art history. This congress coincides with the Centennial celebration of international numismatic congresses (the first was held in Brussels in 1891) and the 150th anniversary of the Revue Beige de Numismatique et de Sigillographie. A complete program with logistical in fonction will be distributed in 1990. It will be sent to all member institutions of the International Numismatic Commission and to anybody who wishes to receive it. Those who wish to read a paper will receive a special notice at the appropriate time. Inquiries should be addressed to: Miss Ghislaine Moucharte, secretary general of Xlth International Numismatic Congress, College Erasme, Place Blaise Pascal, 1 B-1348 LOUVAIN-la-NEUVE (Belgium).
