DAY 1…..HO, HO, HO……OFF WE GO! Sit back and relax. Our late afternoon destination is Fontanel, former home of Barbara Mandrell. We are invited to step inside one of the most beautiful homes in the world. Totally bedecked in Holiday splendor with over 30 trees. Throughout this tour you will be led by storytellers and musicians. Following the tour we continue to the iconic Opryland Resort. Get in the spirit of the season as you discover more than 2 million dazzling Christmas lights around every bend of the hotel. Enjoy the outdoor Nativity Display, hand-carved ice displays created from 2 million pounds of ice, see the 141 ft. Christmas tree and nine acres of indoor gardens lavishly decorated for the holidays. Dinner is included at one of the Opryland restaurants. (D)
DAY 2….Enjoy a breakfast buffet at hotel before starting a busy day. Our day start with the Mojo and Merriment City Tour. The tour will include downtown Nashville’s colorful history with drive-bys of the historic Ryman Auditorium, Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge, Honky-Tonk-Row, Ernest Tubb’s Record Shop and the Bluebird Café (on the hit series “Nashville”). Following the tour, we will experience Honky-Tonk-Row on our own for lunch and shopping. Back to hotel to freshen up. Dinner will be at Blake Shelton’s newest restaurant. Depart for the Ryman Auditorium for the evening performance…..Vince Gill and Amy Grant Christmas Show. (B, D)
DAY 3….Enjoy a breakfast buffet at hotel. Today we travel to the Grand Ole Opry Behind the Scenes Tour where everyone will receive an exclusive look at what happens behind the scenes of the show that made Country music famous! Lunch will be aboard the General Jackson Showboat…..a delicious meal and world-class entertainment while cruising on the majestic Cumberland River. Following the cruise our day continues to Madame Tussauds’ Wax Attraction. This is the only ALL music themed wax attractions and incorporates Country, Rock, Pop Blues and Jazz musicians. Time to explore Opry Mills for dinner on your own. (B, L)
DAY 4….Breakfast buffet at hotel. Today we choose either the Patsy Cline Museum or Johnny Cash Museum. Johnny Cash Museum features the largest and most comprehensive collection of Johnny Cash artifact and memorabilia in the world. The Patsy Cline Museum is the largest collection of rare Patsy Cline artifacts, including many of the “Walking After Midnight” singer’s personal possessions, costumes, awards, letters, furniture and photographs. Time to leave Nashville with many Christmas memories. Box lunch provided on the way home…..dinner on your own. (B, L)
