Contact: THE CADLEYS are one of the most skilled and entertaining acoustic bands in the John Cadley Northeast. John and Cathy’s duet singing follows in the tradition of great male-female 329 Cleveland Blvd. pairings like Ian and Sylvia, George Jones and Tammy Wynette, Dolly Parton and Porter Fayetteville, NY 13066 Wagoner, and Gram Parsons and Emmy Lou Harris, as well as the great male duets such 315-663-6273 as The Louvin Brothers. Their live performances feature traditional bluegrass classics [email protected] from The Stanley Brothers and Bill Monroe…”new acoustic” songs from contempo- www.cadleys.com rary artists like Alison Krauss and Gillian Welch…and most of all, John’s original songs which have been recorded by a number of national bluegrass artists, including Tony Trischka, Jim Hurst, Missy Raines, The International Guitar Duo, Richard Kiser, Amy Gallatin, and Lou Reid, who, with Vince Gill and Ricky Skaggs singing harmony, took John’s song “Time” to the #1 spot on the national bluegrass charts. Virtually every member of the band has won numerous SAMMY’s (Syracuse Area Music Awards), and bassist John Dancks recently took that distinction even further with his induction into the SAMMY Hall of Fame. Rounding out the band is Perry Cleaveland, one of the most in-demand mandolin players in Upstate New York. Perry’s virtuoso playing has been featured in just about every prominent acoustic act in the area, re- corded and live, bluegrass and otherwise. With so many years of experience among them, The Cadleys know how to engage an audience with a rare combination of great original and traditional songs, stunning two- and three-part harmonies, solid musicianship, and the occasional bad joke.
