a postcard from Liguria

Absolutely loving it here….Liguria is just like out of a movie set, rows of colorful houses, stretches of sandy beaches and several small fishing villages buzzing with activity … just sooo beautiful & picturesque.

Right now I am at the “Oregano” along the beach side sipping my glass of red and waiting for my dinner to be served. I have to say that this place serves some amazing food. Narrow cobbled streets are lined with family run restaurants & cafes serving traditional Ligurian cuisine. The food here is so different from much of the other Italian cities I’ve visited so far. Most dishes are pre- pared with olive oil, garlic, herbs and other fresh produces keeping it simple, flavorful & fragrant without the addition of too much cream or butter.

There’s a lot to talk about but I guess it’ll have to wait. I for sure will get you some Ligurian olive oil and pesto on my way back home, they are considered to be the best in the world, you’ll see.
