Help Set a Guinness World Record at the World’s Largest Ski & Snowboard Lesson on Jan. 8

Event is part of January Learn to Ski & Snowboard Month

Want to be part of the Guinness Book of World Records? Beginner skiers and snowboarders are invited to hit the slopes at ski areas throughout on Friday, January 8 at 10 a.m.

Ski areas all over the will be holding ski and snowboard lessons in their respective time zones to set the world record for the largest multi-venue ski and the largest multi-venue snowboard lessons ever taught. This is not one giant lesson, but a series of lesson groups being taught in ski areas’ local time zones. Be part of this historical event and have some fun, too.

Participating Ski NH members are offering a “10 at 10” deal that day. For only $10, beginner skiers and riders can get a Level 1 class at 10:00 a.m. to participate in the Guinness Book of World Records event. Some ski areas are also including rentals and a limited lift ticket in that price, while others have different specials that participants can take advantage of in order to include rentals and a lift ticket. (Pre-registration is required at all areas and some restrictions apply, so guests should contact participating ski areas for more information. Links and contact info can be accessed at www.SkiNH.com/learn/worlds-largest-ski-snowboard-lesson.)

“Anyone who has thought about trying or snowboarding should really consider taking a 10 o’clock lesson at one of New Hampshire’s eight participating resorts on Friday,” said Ski NH Executive Director Jessyca Keeler. “You can’t beat the price, we have some of the best ski and snowboard instructors and learning terrain in New England, and how often do you have an opportunity to be a part of a Guinness Book of World Records event?”
