Anúna's Warm and Inspiring FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Proudly sponsored by: Additional Support provided by: ANÚNA’S WARM AND INSPIRING ‘CHRISTMAS MEMORIES’ TO HIGHLIGHT 2008 HOLIDAY SEASON Ground-Breaking Celtic Vocal Group ® Teams for a Second Year with Public Television, Borders (NEW YORK, NY October 20, 2008) -- The warmth, wonder, serenity and joy of the Christmas season comes alive in the unique music of Ireland’s ANÚNA, as the groundbreaking Celtic-crossover vocal ensemble releases “Christmas Memories.” This excitingly creative and contemporary, yet timeless, program of holiday classics will appear this fall on compact disc, on DVD, and in a beautifully-mounted live broadcast set to air on hundreds of public television stations across the United States -- marking the second consecutive year that ANÚNA has starred in a national Public Television special. Once again, ANÚNA, the Elevation Group, and Maryland Public Television have teamed with Borders for the exclusive retail distribution of the “Christmas Memories” CD and DVD. The CD will be available in Borders and Waldenbooks stores as well as on Borders.com beginning Oct. 21, and the DVD on Oct. 28. In addition, Borders will welcome Anúna in more than 21 stores coast to coast between Thanksgiving and Christmas for special live, in-store performances. New sponsorship this year comes from Tourism Ireland – Marketing the island of Ireland overseas. “Anúna has achieved an extraordinary and very worthy success over the past year in America, thanks in large measure to public television exposure,” said Steven J. Schupak, Maryland Public Television Senior Vice President, Television Programming. “In collaboration with the Elevation Group, we are proud and delighted now to introduce Anúna’s beautiful Christmas repertoire to the national public television audience.” “We’re thrilled to be the exclusive retailer for Anúna’s “Christmas Memories” CD and DVD, and to host this fabulous group in our stores for special performances,” said Linda Jones, senior vice president of Merchandising for Borders Group. “Anúna’s last album, ‘Celtic Origins,’ was the number one selling CD in our stores for several weeks. We have high expectations for “Christmas Memories” and believe it will be a popular holiday favorite among our customers.” The “Christmas Memories” television show and DVD were recorded in June, 2008 at Maryland Public Television’s studios in Baltimore, Maryland, as a co-production of MPT and the Elevation Group. As with the 2007 ANÚNA – Celtic Origins project, MPT is once again the national presenting PBS station. The CD was recorded in Dublin, Ireland at the famed Windmill Lane Studios. The DVD and CD feature the perennial holiday standards “White Christmas” and “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” along with four beautiful originals written by ANÚNA founder and album producer Michael McGlynn; traditional carols arranged by McGlynn, including “Ding Dong Merrily on High,” “Jingle Bells,” “O Holy Night,” and “The First Noel,” and more Christmas classics of Irish, French, German and Finnish origin. John McGlynn, Michael’s twin brother and co-director of Anúna, provides a beautiful and moving arrangement of “O Come All Ye Faithful” for the program. Michael recently described “Christmas Memories” to ANÚNA’s worldwide online following as “utterly different to everything we have ever done,” signaling one more artistic advance for a performing group whose 21-year career has been keynoted by successive creative and commercial breakthroughs. ANÚNA was formed in 1987, and has been credited in the past as the originator of the massively popular “Celtic Soprano” style of singing. ANÚNA was one of the key elements that triggered the phenomenal global renaissance of interest in Irish culture, spending 18 weeks at number one in the Irish charts in 1994 as the artists of the original single “Riverdance,” and touring the world with the stage show of the same name. They have appeared on three Grammy Award-winning albums (twice with The Chieftains) and also performed on record and stage with Sting, Secret Garden, Elvis Costello and many others. Since 1996, ANÚNA has visited twenty-three countries including Japan, Portugal, Spain, France, Germany, Holland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Switzerland, Chile, Canada, Argentina, Italy and Belgium. They are Classical Brit Award nominees, and National Entertainment Award winners in Ireland. In 2007, ANÚNA made a 39-city tour of the U.S., in support of the breakthrough project ANÚNA – Celtic Origins, seen on over 250 PBS stations across the country. The CD was a No. 1 World Music album, according to Nielsen Soundscan. The “Christmas Memories” concept was created by Philip Marshall with John and Michael McGlynn. The album was produced by Michael McGlynn and Brian Masterson. The program features extensive choreography by Sammy Bayes. Executive producer was Denny Young of the Elevation Group and co- producers were Rory Johnston and John McGlynn. • LASSO's 2020 Top Women in Events Top 10 Winners
LASSO’S 2020 Top Women in Events “You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them.” – Maya Angelou NASHVILLE, Tenn., Charleston, SC and ATLANTA, July 15, 2020 - In today’s world, it is increasingly difficult to be in the ever-changing and competitive event industry. A year ago, it was a fast- paced, high-stress juggernaut of an industry; in 2020, it was turned upside-down by COVID-19 and unfortunately many businesses have been forced to diversify or compete for the smaller opportunities that are left. Now, more than ever, we can see what it really means to be a strong woman in this predominantly male landscape and to motivate other women to be the best versions of themselves. For the third year in a row here at LASSO, we are highlighting and celebrating some of the most influential women in this industry who have risen to the occasion to lift their teams and businesses up in the face of any circumstances they encounter. When we started this initiative a few months ago, we asked the people in our vast network of event professionals to nominate women who exemplified what it means to be a leader. We received a groundswell of support and an influx of nominations. It was harder this year than ever before to pick our winners. But, after much deliberation and additional feedback from the industry, we made the tough decision to showcase 100 women who had amazing stories and were recognized by a number of their colleagues and partners.

  • 2015Annual Report
Trinity Cathedral www.trinitycleveland.org 2230 Euclid Avenue 216-771-3630 2015 Annual Report THE MISSION OF TRINITY CATHEDR AL IS TO PROCLAIM IN WORD AND ACTION GOD’S JUSTICE, LOVE AND MERCY FOR ALL CREATION. 2015 Annual Report Trinity Cathedral Inspire. Imagine. Ignite. These are the action words that come to mind when I think about Trinity Cathedral. For 200 years, this church – the very first in Cleveland – has inspired individuals to imagine a faith community that ignites its members, its city and its world with God’s justice, love and mercy. In the early 19th century – 1816, to be exact – a faithful group of early settlers enlivened by the Gospel organized a small house church near the banks of the Cuyahoga River. Nearly 100 years later, Trinity’s leadership demonstrated the vision and generosity to build a grand Gothic cathedral at the corner of Euclid and East 22nd Street – a magnificent landmark that would inspire the social, economic and spiritual development of a great industrial city. At the beginning of the 21st century, Trinity Cathedral joined forces with the Episcopal Diocese of Ohio to create Trinity Commons, a piazza in the middle of what was a distressed urban neighborhood – an effort that launched the green building movement in downtown Cleveland and stimulated the redevelopment of the Campus District. Now located in the middle of a thriving, urban, university neighborhood, Trinity is poised to launch our third century as Cleveland’s first church: a vibrant, diverse and engaged congregation; a beautiful, architectural landmark; a center of diocesan life, a popular venue for music, art and civic conversation and collective action; and a house of prayer that truly welcomes all of God’s people.

2013-2014 REPORT TO THE COMMUNITY THE FUTURE IS NOW TO ENGAGE, TEACH AND INSPIRE THROUGH THE POWER OF ROCK AND ROLL OUR EXHIBITS, PROGRAMS AND OUTREACH REMAIN AT THE CENTER OF OUR MISSION PRESIDENT’S LETTER To engage, teach and inspire through the power of rock and roll. That mission drives our team every day and those words are our rallying cry. At the Museum, we are charting a bold new path that challenges our thinking and broadens our reach through meaningful connections with fans, artists, partners and our staff. Improved visitor experience is at the heart of these connections. Recent interpretative exhibits such as Rolling Stones: 50 Years of Satisfaction and Common Ground: The Music Festival Experience are grounded in an engaging experience for the fans and a deeper dive into the music’s impact. These changes and our renewed emphasis on the customer experience are manifesting as improved ratings from our fans and visitors. Our exhibits, programs and outreach remain at the center of our mission. We are strategically integrating our award-winning education programs and bringing the insight, stories and information from those programs to our larger Museum audience. Web-based classroom pilot programs with Google and others expand the reach of our digital education initiatives. These innovations permeate all that we do – for fans in the Museum exhibits here in Cleveland, as well as for those connecting with us virtually from a classroom in Venezuela. As we approach 2015, we’re excited about the return of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony to Cleveland.
