Ted Strachan advised of the error in indicating that last month’s Frank Debritt run was the 21st for the club. It was actually the 31st. Lucky I am not a Maths teacher. CLUB HAPPENINGS & EVENTS Albury Wodonga Antique Car Club 50th Anniversary Rally – 18-22 May On Friday John & I left for Albury to attend the 50th Anniversary of the Albury-Wodonga Car Club Rally. Heavy rain persisted from Junee, requiring to slow down to 70kmn/h at times. We were towing the 1972 Suzuki A100 which also got very wet. Once in Albury & checking into our accommodation, we attended a welcome BBQ at the Entertainment Centre. Some entrants had completed a run that day & were pleased to be in the dry & warmth. Saturday dawned wet and not very promising for riding a motor bike, so John left the Suzuki at the motel & joined the run in the ute. The Saturday run went to Chiltern, Rutherglen & Corowa. John commented that it was a very scenic drive & thankfully the rain stayed away. I spent Saturday with friends at the Albury-Wodonga Equestrian Centre for the Scots School Interschool Competition. As most people know, horses are my love. That night John & I did not join the dinner & trivia night, instead having our own night out enjoying dinner and fabulous music at the Commercial club. Sunday dawned bright & clear & John took the Suzuki to a large display of vehicles for the National Heritage Day. Club member cars on display in the clubs mini museum.
