Libro P Partite Insights Giornata Matchday 27 Serie A TIM 2019-20 22 - 24 June 2020 FIORENTINA vs BRESCIA Five of the nine Serie A TIM games played in the 21st century between Fiorentina and Brescia have ended in a draw (three wins for Fiorentina, one win for Brescia). Among the teams currently in Serie A TIM, Fiorentina (78%) have won a higher share of home matches against Brescia than they have versus any other side (14 out of 18, D2 L2). Since 2018/19, Fiorentina have lost the most games against newly promoted teams in Serie A TIM (six of nine); in addition, they have failed to score in their last seven such games. Fiorentina have won only one of their last nine home games (D4 L4), 1-0 against SPAL in January. Three of Brescia’s four wins in Serie A TIM this season have been away from home: 75%, the highest such percentage this term. Brescia have conceded in each of their last 11 league games: they last recorded a longer such run in a single Serie A TIM season in 1997/98 (13). Brescia have won 16 points in 26 games in Serie A TIM this term; only once have they won fewer at this stage of a top-flight season, doing so in 1994/95 (12 points). In each of the last three Serie A TIM seasons (2019/20 included), Fiorentina forward Federico Chiesa has scored exactly six goals; a goal in this fixture would therefore represent his best scoring season in the top-flight. Fiorentina midfielder Kevin Agudelo played his first Serie A TIM game in October 2019 against Brescia with Genoa. Furthermore, his only Serie A goal was scored in that match. Brescia midfielder Rômulo played his first 30 games in Serie A TIM with Fiorentina (from 2011 to 2013), scoring two goals. LECCE vs MILAN Milan have lost only two of their 31 Serie A TIM meetings against Lecce; in this period there have been 18 Milan wins and 11 draws. Lecce's only home win against Milan in Serie A TIM dates back to April 2006 (1-0 with a Konan goal) - seven of the last 10 home games of the Giallorossi against the Rossoneri have ended even. Milan have not lost against a newly promoted team since April 2018, in a match against Benevento: since then, the Rossoneri seven wins and five draws in such matches. Lecce have won three of their last five Serie A TIM games (L2), as many wins as in their previous 21 games this season. Lecce have conceded 56 goals in Serie A TIM this season, the last team that managed to avoid relegation after conceding as many goals after 26 games in a Serie A TIM season were Pro Patria, in 1950/51. Milan drew their last Serie A TIM away game, against Fiorentina: the Rossoneri have not drawn consecutive away games in the league since December 2018 (three). Milan have scored in each of their last eight league games and haven't recorded a longer run in a single Serie A TIM season since March 2018 (11). Milan's 4-3 win against Lecce in October 2011 is the only Serie A TIM match the Rossoneri have won after trailing by three goals. Gianluca Lapadula's Serie A debut was with Milan in 2016/17 - the Lecce striker is a goal away from matching his best tally in a single Serie A TIM season, achieved with the Rossoneri (eight goals). Ante Rebic has scored six of Milan's last 10 goals in the league. BOLOGNA vs JUVENTUS Juventus have lost only one of their last 34 Serie A TIM games against Bologna (W24 D9): 0-2 in February 2011, with Alberto Malesani as Rossoblù coach. Juventus have won 12 of their last 13 Serie A TIM games against Bologna (D1), keeping a clean sheet eight times in this period (five goals conceded). Among teams they have faced at least 10 times at home in Serie A TIM, Juventus are the side against which Bologna have lost the highest percentage of games in the top-flight (43% -31/72). Bologna have lost 13 of their last 14 Serie A TIM games against teams in the top two positions at the start of the matchday: the only exception was a 3-2 win against Napoli in May 2019. Bologna have conceded a goal in each of their last 21 Serie A TIM games: in their history the Rossoblu have never conceded in 22 consecutive games in the top-flight. Juventus’ last draw in Serie A TIM was in in December 2019 (2-2 against Sassuolo); since then they have had nine wins and three defeats. No team has conceded fewer goals than Juventus (eight) in the first half of games in Serie A TIM this season. Rodrigo Palacio has netted five goals at Dall’Ara stadium in the current Serie A TIM campaign, as many goals he scored in home matches in his previous five league seasons combined. He scored two goals vs Juventus, the last one in March 2013. Paulo Dybala has scored on average a goal every 107 minutes against Bologna in Serie A TIM, his best rate against any opponent he has faced at least three times. Gonzalo Higuaín has not scored in his last seven Serie A TIM games: the Juventus striker could match his longest drought in the competition, recorded with Napoli (eight appearances in a row between April and October 2014). HELLAS VERONA vs NAPOLI The last Serie A TIM draw between Verona and Napoli dates back to April 1988 (1-1): since then there have been 16 wins for the Partenopei and three for the Gialloblù. Napoli have won each of their last five Serie A TIM games against Verona (12-1 aggregate score): it is the longest ongoing run for the Azzurri against a single team in the competition. Napoli have won their last two Serie A TIM games at the Bentegodi against Verona: only once, between the 80s and 90s, have they reached three in a row. Napoli have won their last three league games and could reach four wins in a row in the competition for the first time since May 2019. Napoli’s last draw in Serie A TIM was 1-1 against Udinese in December: only SPAL (13) and Juventus (12) are on a longer run without drawing a match than Napoli (11). Napoli are the team that has gained the most points (10) from losing positions in away games this season in Serie A TIM. Gennaro Gattuso has won four of his first five Serie A TIM away games with Napoli: no coach has won at least five of the first six away games in the top-flight with the Partenopei. Verona striker Giampaolo Pazzini has scored two goals in Serie A TIM against Napoli, one in 2010 and one in 2017: however, only against Juventus (13) has he lost more games than against the Neapolitans (11) in the top-flight. Verona are the team against which Arkadiusz Milik has the best minute per goal ratio in Serie A TIM (a goal every 47 minutes), thanks to three goals in 142 minutes. Milik is also just one win away from his 50th Serie A TIM victory. Only against Lazio (six) has José Callejón scored more goals than against Verona (four) in Serie A TIM: however, these four goals have all been scored at the San Paolo. SPAL vs CAGLIARI Cagliari have won four of their five Serie A TIM games against SPAL in the 21st century (D1), scoring exactly two goals in each of these matches. Cagliari have won only one of five Serie A TIM away games against SPAL (D2 L2), 2-0 in September 2017, with Massimo Rastelli on the bench. SPAL have not drawn in their last 13 Serie A TIM games, the longest current run. SPAL won 1-0 against Parma in the last league game, stopping a streak of five consecutive defeats: the last time they collected two wins in a row in Serie A TIM was in April 2019. SPAL have lost their last five home games in Serie A TIM, already the longest such run for the Ferraresi in the top-flight. Each of SPAL’s last four home goals in Serie A TIM have been scored from set pieces (three from penalty, one from free-kick) – their last open play home goal was in October 2019, against Napoli. SPAL have scored the fewest goals from outside the box this season (two) - in the last Serie A TIM campaign, no team scored fewer such goals than Cagliari (two goals). Federico Di Francesco scored the first of his nine Serie A TIM goals in September 2016 against Cagliari. However, on both occasions when the SPAL player has found the net in this campaign, his team have lost. SPAL striker Andrea Petagna has scored six home goals in this league campaign and is only one goal away from his record total of home goals in a single Serie A TIM season (seven in 2018/19). Cagliari striker Alberto Paloschi played 69 games and scored nine goals in Serie A TIM with SPAL. GENOA vs PARMA Parma have won three of their last 10 Serie A TIM games against Genoa (D4 L3), winning their last three since their return to Serie A TIM. Genoa lost their last home game against Parma in Serie A TIM, this after an unbeaten run of eight games (W4 D4): the Rossoblù have never lost two consecutive home games against the Gialloblù in the competition.

Coaches FC Barcelona v Manchester United FC: Josep Guardiola v Sir Alex Ferguson for the second time in three seasons. Prior to kick-off at Wembley, ‘Pep’ greets the coach he admires most in a meeting between two coaches with exceptionally high averages in the UEFA Champions League. All-time leader Sir Alex was bringing his total to 176 games in 16 seasons, yet even he was falling marginally short of Pep’s tally of 38 matches in only three campaigns.
