Package 1: HOUSEKEEPING PACKAGE – SEMI GUIDED Dates Available: PICK ANY WEEK FOR THE SPRING OR FALL HUNT. THIS IS A 7 NIGHT / 6 DAY HUNT. ARRIVAL / DEPARTURE ON SATURDAY. HUNT STARTS SUNDAY. Rate: $1895 CANADIAN FUNDS & Tax & Licences. MINIMUM 2 HUNTERS. Price includes: Private accommodations/2 active bait sites per hunter with tree stands & trail cams setup/bear bait for the duration of the hunt/skinning/quartering/freezing your bear. In this package, guests will arrive on Saturday afternoon and will be shown bait sites and start hunting Sunday early in the afternoon. After this point, guests will be responsible for re-baiting and checking the trail camera’s, transportation and fuel in their own vehicles to and from the bait sites for hunting, as well as field tracking, gutting, and getting their bear back to the drive in lodge at Ivanhoe Lake. A GPS is essential (preferably with the Ontario topo maps pre-installed) because the most active bear baits may be located between 15 – 40 miles from our drive in lodge, with frequent Y’s on unmarked logging roads. Additional assistance for tracking and/ or animal retrieval from the woods to the lodge is available on an “as needed” basis at a rate of $50/guide/ hour. Satellite phone’s are limited but available at $125/week and come with 30 minutes of airtime. Package 2: MEAL PLAN PACKAGE – FULLY GUIDED Dates Available: SPRING HUNT: MAY 29 – JUNE 5, 2021. Price includes: Private accommodations/2 active bait sites per hunter with treestands & trail cams setup/3 meals daily/full guide service including transportation and bear bait/field tracking/gutting/skinning/quartering/freezing your bear. In this package, guests will arrive on Saturday afternoon and will start hunting Sunday early in the afternoon. Meals will be mixed between the cottage and restaurant setting. Breakfast will be made available for self-serve and self-preparation in your cottage, and will include coffee, bacon, eggs, hash browns, oatmeal, cereals, fruits, juice, and toast. Lunch and supper will be restaurant meals, where guests most commonly will order lunch and supper (or sandwiches to be eaten in the tree stand) at the same time, taking their supper “to go” to be eaten later. For the days that the restaurant at our drive in lodge is not open, guests will need to drive themselves in their own vehicles to the Foleyet Northern Lights restaurant, which is located 7 minutes away from Ivanhoe. Hunters will typically leave the lodge for the evening hunt at 1 pm will not return until after dark, sometimes as late as midnight depending on any difficulties with field tracking and game retrieval. Deposit: Bear Hunters $300 each hunter • Moose Hunters $1200 per adult tag GENERAL BEAR HUNTING INFORMATION - Hunters can add a boat/ motor/ fuel package for $300 / hunter / week based on 2 hunters in the boat or rent a boat & motor with 1 tank of fuel daily for $125 /day. - With 2 weeks notice, Air Ivanhoe can organize ground blinds rather than tree stands (depending on the location) for hunters who are unable or prefer not to hunt from a tree stand. All tree stands setup by Air Ivanhoe are metal, double wide (2 man capacity rated at 400 lbs. or more), ladder style tree stands with a safety rail giving hunters very comfortable and extremely safe hunting platforms. - Air Ivanhoe can accommodate archery, muzzleloader, shotgun, and rifle hunters but like any other big game hunt where there is no distinct archery / rifle season, all hunters are highly recommended to bring a large rifle with multiple shots for their best opportunity to successfully hunt and then locate their trophy. - While the spring and fall seasons do extend beyond the dates that we have listed, we believe that the dates selected are the absolute best time frames to successfully bait and harvest black bears in our area. - Our bear hunting packages are all based on 2 or more adults / group, not necessarily 2 or more hunters. GENERAL MOOSE HUNTING INFORMATION Accommodations: For Campsite Accommodations, Hunters bring all of their necessary camping supplies / tents / trailers etc. The campsite is yours during the entire valid moose hunting season for your hunt (Archery or Rifle), and you can hunt the entire duration of this season. Housekeeping cottages at the drive in lodge include all bedding/ towels/kitchen supplies/dishes/pots/pans and a propane BBQ outside. Expanded descriptions of the cottages can be found at page 8 of the brochure. Hunt Duration: All packages offered at the drive in lodge are based on a 7 Day hunt, starting on a Saturday. Any additional nights prior to (or after) the 7 Day hunt are $49 per hunter per night (as available). Minumum 2 Hunters. River Hunts: If you’re interested in traditional “water hunting” and more fishing, we do also have 3 boat-in cottages up the Ivanhoe River in WMU 31, located approximately 8, 14, and 22 miles by water from our drive in lodge. Guests would need to bring or rent boats to hunt from these locations. These river camps are priced out as 1 large cottage. Registered Guests: All guests & hunters staying at the campsite / cottage must legally be “registered” in our log-books and actually sleeping at the site to hunt the adult moose tag(s) supplied in our packages. Deposit and Payment Schedule: Moose hunting deposit is $1200 per adult moose tag supplied in the package.
