Coastal Croatia Extension

A trip to the Istrian Peninsula would not be complete without time at its spectacular west coast, where pristine blue- green waters meet green forests and rocky cliffs. The tiny bays and inlets that once provided cover for pirates now offer secluded beaches and stunning scenery.

We paddle around the fjord-like Lim Bay by sea-kayak, the perfect way to explore this beautiful inlet of tiny coves and beaches. Perfect for beginners, this provides a wonderful experience to round off your adventure in Croatia.

We will be based in a lovely hotel in Poreč, a picturesque and historic town on the coast with a wonderful atmosphere for wandering or watching the world go by. Min 4 pax - £75 supplement for 2/3 pax Single supplement: £75

DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: Lovran – Poreč (main group departs same day)

We drive to Poreč (approx. 1.5 hours) on the beautiful west coast of the Istrian Peninsula, and enjoy a tour of the town. Poreč is an attractive town to explore, with its well-preserved buildings, Roman ruins, and the striking 6th- Century Byzantine Euphrasian Basilica, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the town’s most important landmarks. After the tour we are free to wander further or relax in a café and enjoy watching the world go by. Night hotel.

Day 2: Poreč – Lim Bay – Poreč Today is a highlight of our Croatian adventure! We head to Lim Bay, a partially-submerged river valley which is

fjord-like in appearance, with steep cliffs and hidden bays. We explore the bay in kayaks, discovering inlets, beaches and pirate caves. The water is beautiful and calm; no previous experience is necessary and all equipment and tuition is provided. We stop at a secluded beach for a dip before paddling back along the other side of the inlet and heading back to Poreč, where we can enjoy some last-minute shopping. Night hotel.

Kayak approx. 3-4 hours

Breakfast and picnic lunch provided. Dinner not included.

Day 3: Poreč – Ljubljana – London Drive (approx. 2 hours) back to Ljubljana in Slovenia, and fly back to the UK.

Extension requires a minimum of 4 people to operate. To operate this for 2 or 3 people a supplement of £75pp will be payable.
