Page 6 Fund Raiser

Korks For Kids Hi Fellow Parrot Heads, I am Susan Seamon from the Tampa Bay Parrot Head Club and the Chair of the KORKS FOR KIDS fund raiser that takes place at Music on the Bay. We are reaching out to other Florida clubs for help growing this fundraiser. What is needed are bottles of alcohol (wine or liquor, no beer please) valued at $20.00 or more and the more unique the better (but a good old bottle of Captain Morgan works as well). I was hoping there is someone in your club that would be willing to champion this cause. Maybe just to ask members to donate or to solicited help from local liquor store or bars. After the bottles are collected I would be willing to come pick them up. I order to get everything organized by MOTB I would need to get the bottles by 2/20/19. My contact information is below. To the right is a flyer and donation letter from MOTB that may help in getting some donation. HOW THE GAME WORKS There will be Korks with numbers on them relating to the bottles on the table and we will sell the Korks for $20 each. When all Korks are sold, you come up and claim your bottle. EVERYONE IS A WINNER! The only chance you take is what type of booze you will win. Would like to say thank you in advance for any help you can give in the matter. Parrot Needs Forever Home

Hello one and all! My name is Chicken and am an approximately 5-year old male Sun Conure. I came from a very loving home, but when they felt they did not have enough time for me they asked Florida Parrot Rescue to help find me a new home. I really love my foster mom’s house, but I’m excited to meet my forever family. I would do best in a home without small children, since I like a lot of attention and don’t want to share! I am a sweet boy and I love sitting on your shoulder and getting head scritches. I will step up for you anytime. My foster mom says I give “the best kisses in the world!”. I have a good appetite and will try anything you offer me. My favorite thing to eat are actually my healthy pellets! They are so good for me and help keep me looking beautiful! I also love fruits and vegetables, especially apples, banana, carrots, and kale. If you’re looking for a bird with lots of love and snuggles to give, why not fill out an application below? Chicken would love a “welcome to foster” present. You can view his wishlist here: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/45IM6UOPBUKI Interested in adoption? Please go to our website to fill out an application, view adoption fees and to read our adoption protocols at http:// floridaparrotrescue.com/adopt-foster-application/ An avian veterinarian has properly vetted all birds before they are placed up for adoption. Adoption fees include the bird’s cage IF the bird has a cage - most do, but please ask! Please e-mail us at [email protected] for any questions!
