After relocating the band to Northern California (on a mountain overlooking the Pacific no less), Robinson chose to bring ‘sketches’ of songs, bare bones ideas that he’d present and then see what the band came up with. The results are uniformly excellent. ‘Anyway You Love, We Know How You Feel’ (a line taken from the fabu- lous ‘Forever As A Moon’) is an album of other firsts too: it marks the recording debut of new drummer and it’s the first time the band have chosen to produce themselves.
