continued on next page 1799 Meeting House Open House TIME: 8:00 – 3:00 PM Built in 1799, this is the oldest structure in Northumberland today and with the possible exception of a few houses, the oldest in northern New Hampshire. The old hall served for over a half a century for all public gatherings including school classes and prayer meetings. In 1961, “Doc”and Natalie Potter gave the building and the land it sits on to the Town for its bicentennial celebration. They were instrumental in its restoration and for gathering the contents within. that you can see when you visit today.
